Applies to: ConfigPro v1.2.0
Summary
This article provides an overview of the features and supported integrations available in ConfigPro v1.2.0.
Product Compatibility
ConfigPro supports the following product categories:
- Network Video Recorders (NVR)
- Access Control devices
- IP Audio products
- Video Encoders
- Additional supported Hanwha Vision devices
Supported functionality primarily includes common device management capabilities similar to those available in Wisenet Device Manager.
NOTES: Some legacy models may have limited functionality depending on their
supported SUNAPI version.
Cameras discovered through an NVR are not supported.
ConfigPro does not provide additional functionality specifically for
BLAZE appliances.
Features
User Notifications
ConfigPro provides system notification for maintenance tasks and other events.
Supported notifications include:
- Certificate expiration warnings before certificates expire (configurable notification period)
- Certificate renewal success notifications
- Certificate renewal failure notifications
- Firmware upgrade task start notifications
- Firmware upgrade task completion notifications
NOTE: Firmware notifications report the status of upgrade tasks only.
ConfigPro does not notify users when new firmware versions become available.
Server Audit Logs
ConfigPro Server records audit logs for administrative tracking.
ConfigPro organizes audit logs into the following categories:
- System
- Operation
- Maintenance
- Access
ConfigPro supports the following audit log capabilities:
- Search logs by date
- Filter logs using multiple criteria
- Export filtered log results
Audit Log Behavior
Audit logs record configuration activities performed by users created directly within ConfigPro.
For configuration changes, the audit log records:
- User
- Time
- Configuration category that was modified
The audit log does not record the previous and new values of individual settings. Review the target device's system logs for detailed configuration changes.
Enhanced Template Management
ConfigPro supports templates for multiple devices.
Users can save Video Profile settings as templates and apply consistent streaming configurations across supported devices.
Supported template information includes:
- Video profiles
- Channel information
- Profile configuration
Users can create templates from an existing device and reuse them across compatible devices.
Template management also supports:
- Template duplication
- Bulk deletion of multiple templates
Remote ConfigPro Server Updates
ConfigPro clients can remotely update connected ConfigPro servers.
When connecting to a server, ConfigPro verifies whether the server version matches the client version.
If the server runs an older supported version:
- ConfigPro prompts users to perform a server update.
- Click OK to download and install the latest supported server version automatically.
- Click Cancel to prevent login until the server has been updated.
NOTES: Remote server updates are supported for ConfigPro Server v1.2.0 and later.
Users must manually upgrade earlier server versions.
Users must locally update servers operating in isolated or closed networks
without Internet access before clients can connect.
DesignPro Project Integration
Users can import configuration files exported from DesignPro projects directly into ConfigPro.
Users can apply imported configuration data to existing devices.
Supported configuration data includes:
- Video Profile settings
- WiseStream settings
Because DesignPro projects do not contain device network information, such as IP addresses, importing configuration files does not automatically create or register devices in ConfigPro.
Firmware Management
Task Retention
Users can reuse firmware upgrade tasks when newer firmware becomes available.
Instead of creating a new task, users can replace the firmware package while retaining the existing task configuration.
Sequential or Parallel Upgrades
Users can choose how ConfigPro performs firmware upgrades:
- Sequential upgrades
- Parallel upgrades
Device-Based Firmware Search
When downloading firmware from the update server, ConfigPro can reference the registered device list to locate compatible firmware files.
WebViewer Connection
When launching a device web interface from ConfigPro, users automatically authenticate with their ConfigPro credentials.
CGI Presets
Users can save configuration settings from the device web interface as CGI presets.
Keyboard Shortcuts
ConfigPro includes a dedicated Hot Keys menu that displays the complete list of supported keyboard shortcuts.
Active Network Interface
ConfigPro displays the active Ethernet adapter used by ConfigPro Server.
Administrators can verify which network interface communicates with managed devices.
Real-Time Debug Logs
Users can monitor debug logs in real time for troubleshooting and system diagnostics.
