Summary
This article provides instructions for updating your device firmware using ConfigPro.
Updating Device Firmware
To update device firmware using ConfigPro:
- Log in to ConfigPro.
- From the Device Settings menu, click Search.
- Highlight the model name of the camera to update and press Ctrl+C to copy.
- In the navigation bar on the left, click the Firmware icon.
Click either Add from local file or Add from firmware server.
IMPORTANT: Internet access is required to download firmware files from the server.- Paste (Ctrl+V) the device name into the Search field.
- Check the box next to the appropriate firmware and click Download, then Close.
- Click the Upgrade tab, then click the Plus (+) button to create a firmware update task.
In the Create firmware update task dialog box:
a. Enter the name of the task in the Task name field.
b. Use the Firmware file drop-down menu to select the firmware file that was just downloaded.
c. Check the box next to the devices to update.NOTE: To add additional firmware updates to the same task, use the Firmware file
drop-down menu and browse for another firmware file, then check the box next to
the devices to update.- To schedule an update, check Enable next to Update schedule.
Click Create.
NOTE: Clicking the task that was just created allows the user to see the list of
devices that are included in the firmware upgrade task.- Click Upgrade to manually start the firmware update.
