Summary

This article provides instructions for updating your device firmware using ConfigPro.

Updating Device Firmware

To update device firmware using ConfigPro:

1. Log in to ConfigPro.
    
2. From the Device Settings menu, click Search.
   
   
    
3. Highlight the model name of the camera to update and press Ctrl+C to copy.
   
   
    
4. In the navigation bar on the left, click the Firmware icon.
   
   
    

5. Click either Add from local file or Add from firmware server.
   
   

   IMPORTANT: Internet access is required to download firmware files from the server.

6. Paste (Ctrl+V) the device name into the Search field.
   
   
    
7. Check the box next to the appropriate firmware and click Download, then Close.
   
   
    
8. Click the Upgrade tab, then click the Plus (+) button to create a firmware update task.
   
   
    

9. In the Create firmware update task dialog box: 
   
   a. Enter the name of the task in the Task name field. 
   
   
   
   b. Use the Firmware file drop-down menu to select the firmware file that was just downloaded. 
    

   
   
   c. Check the box next to the devices to update.
   
   

   NOTE: To add additional firmware updates to the same task, use the Firmware file 
   drop-down menu and browse for another firmware file, then check the box next to 
   the devices to update.
   

   

10. To schedule an update, check Enable next to Update schedule.
    
    
     

11. Click Create.

    NOTE: Clicking the task that was just created allows the user to see the list of 
    devices that are included in the firmware upgrade task.
    

    

12. Click Upgrade to manually start the firmware update.
