Summary

Bulk enrollment allows multiple detected controllers to be added to OnCAFE simultaneously. This is useful when several controllers are powered on, connected to the network, and discovered by OnCAFE before they have been fully claimed and assigned to a location.

Instead of onboarding each controller individually, an administrator can select multiple detected controllers, assign a location in bulk, and add them to the system in one workflow. This article describes how to enroll multiple controllers at once.

Prerequisites

Before bulk enrolling controllers:

• The user must be logged in with the appropriate administrative privileges.
   
• Controllers must be powered on and connected to the same supported network environment.
   
• Controllers must be detected by OnCAFE and listed under New Controllers Detected.
   
• The correct location must already exist in OnCAFE.
   
• The administrator must verify the controller name, controller type, and serial number before adding controllers to the system. 
   
• Controllers must be assigned to a location before they can be added in bulk.

Bulk Enrolling Controllers

To bulk enroll detected controllers:

1. Log in to OnCAFE as a user with administrative privileges. 
    

2. Select Devices > Controllers. 
   
   
    

   NOTE: If new controllers are detected, OnCAFE displays a New Controllers 
   Detected banner.

3. Select Onboard controllers. The Onboard controllers page displays the detected controllers.
   
   
   
   Each row may include:
    

   Field	Description
   Name	The controller name detected by OnCAFE (Enrolled as Serial #)
   Location	The location where the controller will be assigned
   Controller	The controller model or type (NHP-P100,P200,P400) (NOP-IC2)
   Serial	The controller serial number (Non-Configurable)

   Icon	Field	Description
   	Add controller	Adds an individual controller
   	Delete icon	Removes the detected controller from the onboarding list

4. Review the detected controllers and verify that the correct devices are listed.
    
5. Select the checkbox for each controller that should be enrolled.
    
6. Select Bulk actions > Set location.
   
   
    
7. Select the desired location and click Save.
    
8. Confirm that the selected location is applied to the selected controllers.
    
9. Select Bulk actions again.
   
   
    

10. Click Add controllers.

    OnCAFE adds the selected controllers to the system.
    
    The success message appears.
     

11. Return to the Controllers page.
     
12. Select Back to list view.
     
13. Verify that the newly added controllers appear in the controller list.
     
14. Confirm each controller status updates as expected.

Validation

Confirm the following:

• Each selected controller was added to the system.
   
• The correct location is assigned to each controller.
   
• The controller status updates from Just added to the expected online state.
   

• Reader, input, output, and expansion panel counts appear as expected.
   

  NOTE: The Add controller button remains unavailable until the required location 
  field is populated.
  
  Controllers can also be added individually from the same onboarding page.
  
  If a controller should not be enrolled, use the Delete icon to remove it from 
  the detected controller list.
  
  After enrollment, additional controller configuration may still be required 
  before doors, readers, inputs, or outputs are fully operational.
