This article provides instructions for configuring the Cloud Gateway network settings.
Configuring Cloud Gateway Network Settings
Once the Cloud Gateway is powered on, you may need to adjust some basic network settings.
The default static IP address of a Cloud Gateway is 192.168.1.200.
NOTE: Cloud Gateway Recorders (CGRs) feature two NICs (Network Interface
Cards) to allow optional isolation of private camera LANs. The LAN NIC
defaults to a static 192.168.1.200 and the WAN NIC defaults to DHCP. To
view the IP addresses assigned to both ports, connect a monitor to the
HDMI port.
To configure network settings:
- Enter the Cloud Gateway’s IP address in a web browser using HTTP.
For example, http://192.168.1.200
- Create or sign in with the device’s ID and password.
- Click the Device Management tab.
- Scroll down to Network Information and click Network Configuration.
Configure the network settings.
NOTE: CGRs have two NICs, and you can choose to use one or both of the
CGR NIC ports.IMPORTANT: It is critical to use a compatible DNS. Google’s 8.8.8.8 is a viable default value.
Network Diagnostic Tests
To assist with connectivity diagnostics, Cloud Gateway Recorders include the following link status and single-click tests.
