Using Cloud Gateways with OnCloud
Here is the high-level flow to go from scratch to viewing and recording Cloud Gateway cameras in OnCloud:
- Power up the Cloud Gateway device and connect it to a switch with simultaneous access to the cameras and the Internet.
- Configure the Cloud Gateway’s network settings to connect it to the Internet.
- Configure the Cloud Gateway’s CloudConnector app to connect it to your Hanwha Vision cloud organization.
- Log in to OnCloud.
- Onboard the Cloud Gateway.
- Scan the Cloud Gateway to find and add its cameras.
License the cameras with OnCloud recording licenses.
NOTE: Cloud Gateway Recorders use Edge Recording licenses, whereas
Cloud Gateway Appliances use Cloud Recording licenses.Since each new camera has a licensing grace period of 5 days, you will immediately have full OnCloud functionality of your cameras, including viewing, recording, replaying, and exporting clips.
NOTE: A Cloud Gateway device cannot simultaneously belong to two
organizations. If it is still attached to a previous organization,
it must first be removed from that organization.
