This article provides an overview of using Cloud Gateways with OnCloud.

Using Cloud Gateways with OnCloud

Here is the high-level flow to go from scratch to viewing and recording Cloud Gateway cameras in OnCloud:

1. Power up the Cloud Gateway device and connect it to a switch with simultaneous access to the cameras and the Internet.
    
2. Configure the Cloud Gateway’s network settings to connect it to the Internet.
    
3. Configure the Cloud Gateway’s CloudConnector app to connect it to your Hanwha Vision cloud organization.
    
4. Log in to OnCloud.
    
5. Onboard the Cloud Gateway.
    
6. Scan the Cloud Gateway to find and add its cameras.
    

7. License the cameras with OnCloud recording licenses.

   NOTE: Cloud Gateway Recorders use Edge Recording licenses, whereas 
   Cloud Gateway Appliances use Cloud Recording licenses.

   Since each new camera has a licensing grace period of 5 days, you will immediately have full OnCloud functionality of your cameras, including viewing, recording, replaying, and exporting clips.

   NOTE: A Cloud Gateway device cannot simultaneously belong to two 
   organizations. If it is still attached to a previous organization, 
   it must first be removed from that organization.
