Summary
Use OnCloud to add devices one by one, or use Cloud Portal for bulk registration. This article provides instructions for adding Cloud Gateway cameras to OnCloud.
Adding Individual Cloud Gateway Cameras to OnCloud
Before starting this process, confirm that the Cloud Gateway has been onboarded in OnCloud; see OnCloud: How to onboard a Cloud Gateway into OnCloud.
To scan the Cloud Gateway network to search for cameras to add to OnCloud:

Log in to OnCloud.

Navigate to OnCloud > organization dashboard.
- Select Devices > Manage.
- Filter using the Cloud Gateway’s location to find your Cloud Gateway.
- Click Scan Network for Device.
The dialog lists all the compatible devices that can be onboarded via the Cloud Gateway.
- Click each camera and authenticate it individually.
If the cameras share a common password, check the Save and apply credentials to detected devices checkbox to apply the password automatically.
By applying a common password, the Authenticate indicator changes to Add Device.
- For each camera, specify a Device Name and select an Area.

Click Add And Claim Device.
NOTE: All cameras share the Cloud Gateway’s location, but they may have different areas within that location.
After a few moments the screen shows that the device has been Added and Claimed.+
Bulk Registering Cloud Gateway Cameras to OnCloud using Cloud Portal
Before starting this process, make sure the Cloud Gateway has been onboarded in OnCloud; see OnCloud: How to onboard a Cloud Gateway into OnCloud
To scan the Cloud Gateway network to search for cameras to bulk-add to OnCloud:

Log in to Cloud Portal.
- Click Devices.
- Scroll down to find your Cloud Gateway. You can also use the search box or filter using Connect Type.
- Click Scan Network.
The results of the network scan will be categorized into 3 group tabs - Authenticated, Ready to Add (to this Cloud Gateway), and Already Assigned (to another Cloud Gateway).
- Select all the devices you wish to authenticate and click Authenticate. You may rename your devices first.
When unauthenticated devices are authenticated, they move to the Ready to Add tab.
- Click the Ready to Add tab.
- Click Set Area to bulk-assign an area to the selected devices. Alternatively, Select the area from the drop down per device. They will automatically inherit the Cloud Gateway's Location.
- Select multiple devices and click + Add.
After a few moments the added devices will disappear from the Ready to Add tab.
