Issue Summary
Video export fails when the export range is set to a long duration (e.g., over 12 hours) or when exporting high-resolution video, especially when exporting directly to a USB drive.
This issue occurs when the destination drive (USB, HDD, or SSD) is formatted with the FAT32 file system. Fat32 does not support individual files larger than 4GB.
To reproduce the issue:
- Enter the Export Video menu from the timeline or other entry point.
- Set the export duration to a long period (e.g., 12+ hours).
- Set the destination folder to a USB drive.
- Start the export. The export fails once the file size shown in the Export Tray (at the top of the main window) exceeds 4GB.
Resolution
Check the file system of the export destination (USB or disk). If it is formatted as FAT32, you cannot write files larger than 4GB.
To resolve this issue:
- Reformat the Drive: Reformat your USB drive to a different file system, such as NTFS or exFAT.
- Adjust Export Range: Shorten the export duration to reduce the file size, then try the export again.
