Summary
Diagnostic log files can be collected using the BLAZE Desktop Client. If the Log Collection feature is unavailable, the log files can be collected manually from the local computer.
This article explains how to collect diagnostic log files using both methods.
Collecting Log Files
BLAZE Desktop Client
You can save system log files to your local PC using the BLAZE Desktop Client's diagnostic log collection feature. If the program closes unexpectedly, a dump file collection feature is available.
You can also adjust the logging levels for the server and client to capture more detailed information.
To collect log files:
- Open the BLAZE Desktop Client.
- Navigate to Home > Health Monitoring > Diagnostics
Set the date range, target server and client, then specify the local save path and click Download.
TIP: If you know exactly when the issue occurred, selecting only
the logs for that specific date allows for a faster download.
Once the download starts, the progress is displayed in the main window.
- After the download finishes, navigate to the selected path to find the collected files.
Change the log level from Info to Debug to allow the system to gather more in-depth information.
IMPORTANT: Since Debug mode uses more system resources it is
best practice to switch back to the default level after you
finish collecting logs.
Manual
If the Log Collection feature is unavailable, collect the log files directly from the local computer.
To collect log files manually:
- For Windows - locate the log files at:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Hanwha Vision\BLAZE client\logs
- For macOS - locate the log files at:
~/Library/Application Support/Hanwha Vision/BLAZE client/logs
NOTE: By default, the Library folder is hidden in macOS. To access it,
open Finder, hold the Option (⌥) key, click Go, then select Library.
Alternatively, press Shift + Command + G to open Go to Folder, then
enter ~/Library
