Issue Summary
BLAZE software packages are digitally signed and verified before installation. If the required DigiCert root certificate is missing, expired, or unavailable on the customer’s PC, the installation fails during signature verification.
When this issue occurs, the BLAZE Client installer may silently fail or display an error. Error logs may contain messages such as:
-
WinVerifyTrust failed
-
Package digital signature verification failed. Installation aborted.
- ImproperRootCertificate
Resolution
Install the required DigiCert root certificate manually on the customer's PC:
-
Download the DigiCert Trusted Root G4 certificate from the official DigiCert website.
NOTE: If the PC has no internet access, download the certificate file
on another PC and transfer it via USB. - Double-click the downloaded .crt file and click Install Certificate...
- Select Local Machine, then click Next.
If prompted by UAC, click Yes.
- Select Place all certificates in the following store.
- Click Browse... > Trusted Root Certification Authorities > OK.
- Click Next > Finish.
- When the success dialog appears, click OK.
- Restart the PC and retry the Blaze Client installation.
- Press Win + R, type certlm.msc, and press Enter.
If prompted by UAC, click Yes.
- Navigate to Trusted Root Certification Authorities > Certificates.
-
Confirm that DigiCert Trusted Root G4 is listed with a valid expiry date.
NOTE: If the issue persists on a fully air-gapped network with no
access to Windows Update or DigiCert servers, please contact Hanwha
Vision technical support for an alternative installation package or
