This article describes how to maximize a BLAZE appliance's system performance, based on whether your primary goal is remote, or local real-time monitoring.

Configuring Monitoring

Remote Monitoring

If remote live monitoring (via the desktop client, mobile, or web client) is the priority, reduce unnecessary local processing:

• Exclude or minimize live output onto a local monitor. Consider reducing the number of cameras in the layout.
   
• Set the live output to the Home path (default view) so the Appliance uses fewer resources on local rendering

Local Real-Time Monitoring

If local live monitoring is your priority, configure the system as a mandatory local environment:

• Minimize local live output.
   
• Configure layouts with only the necessary cameras for each purpose and use them only for the required live output so the Appliance uses fewer resources on local rendering
