Summary
System administrators may silently install the BLAZE Desktop Client and BLAZE Server software (Windows), removing the need for a technician to visit each workstation and login. A silent install assumes a method of pushing software already exists.
This article explains how to silently install the BLAZE Desktop Client and Server on Windows.
Performing a Silent Install
To perform a silent installation:
- Download the BLAZE VMS Client software.
-
Append the BLAZE installation executable.
For BLAZE Client, append /VERYSILENT (not case sensitive) to force a silent installation without requiring any user interaction.
Example: BLAZE client-1.2.204-20260512.1328-windows-x64.exe /VERYSILENT
For BLAZE Server, append /USER (not case sensitive).
Example: BLAZE server-1.2.204-20260512.1415-windows-x64.exe /USERIMPORTANT: Always test this process in a lab or test environment before
deploying into a production environment. - Run the command for deployment using your preferred software deployment method. Administrator credentials may be required for the installation.
To validate that the installation was successful, the user will see the BLAZE VMS Client icon on their desktop.
The silent install switch was added to the BLAZE VMS Server executable starting with version 1.2.204.
