Issue Summary
Sometimes, when you select an area to search for an object, the system does not return any results, even if the object passes through the selected area. This occurs because the search mechanism only uses BestShot images. The system only returns results if the BestShot object appears within the selected area.
Resolution
When searching for objects using a selected area, adjust the area to cover the full potential path of the object. This action ensures the system captures the BestShot and returns accurate results.
For example:
In the first screenshot, the person walked from left to right. The BestShot occurred near the right-hand side of the field of view.
In the next screenshot, the selected area was too far to the left. Therefore, no BestShots occurred, and no results were found.
In the final screenshot, the selected area is wider, covering the full path. This allowed the system to detect all individuals passing through and revealed that the person walked through the scene twice, once in each direction.
