Applies to: BLAZE
Summary
BLAZE requires a license per camera channel. These licenses are stored within a License Key, which is added to a system and linked to a single server. However, the License Key can be used by multiple cameras across different servers within the same system. The number of camera channel licenses needed varies depending on the device. For more information, refer to Understanding BLAZE licenses.
This article offers instructions for licensing a BLAZE system.
Licensing a BLAZE System
NOTE: The example below illustrates adding a 30-day trial license. Full licenses
are added in the same manner, but are perpetual.
To license a BLAZE system:
- Log in to BLAZE.
- Click the Settings icon, then select Licenses.
- Click + Add license key.
-
Enter your license key, then click Next.
The license key is a long sequence of 35 alphanumeric characters. It is recommended to copy/paste the code since it may include ambiguous characters such as Ls and 1s.NOTE: To keep your system up to date, purchase a Software Update Plan
for each channel. Without the plan, you will lose eligibility for updates
after 3 years.
