Summary
Once Cloud Gateway cameras are in OnCloud, many important parameters can conveniently be set within OnCloud, instead of relying on the camera’s Web Viewer or Wisenet Device Manager. This article details how to use OnCloud to change basic camera settings.
Changing Camera Settings
To change camera settings:
- Log in to OnCloud.
- Navigate to the organization dashboard and click Devices > Manage.
- Search for the Cloud Gateway.
- Click the Cloud Gateway row to expand it.
This reveals the previously added sub cameras. - Click the camera row.
The camera interface is similar to the one for the Cloud Gateway, except it includes licensing. Once licensed, more options will appear for that camera.
- Click the Device Information tab to view and change the camera’s name, monitor its online status, review the model, serial number and MAC address, check the firmware and the Gateway's CloudConnector version, and modify the device’s Area. You can also remove the device from the org.

Click the Licenses tab to attach or remove a license.
NOTE: Cloud Gateway Recorder (CGR) cameras require an Edge (SD)
recording license. Cloud Gateway Appliance (CGA) cameras require
a Cloud recording license. Samples of both are shown below.
- After attaching a valid license, click the appropriate tab to configure the camera.
- Scroll down to see the option where using the camera as a proxy, you can also connect directly to the device as if you were on the local network.
