Summary
The NHP-P100 and NHP-P200 controllers feature a 3-position hardware switch that determines the type of voltage (or dry contact) the onboard relay output provides. This switch defines the voltage behavior of the onboard relay output.
This article explains the switch positions and output terminal block configuration.
Switch Positions
The output selector switch is located above the four-terminal output block on the controller.
| Position | Function | Description |
| Center | Dry Contact (Default) | The relay operates as a standard mechanical dry contact switch (no voltage supplied). |
| Up | 24VDC Output | The relay will provide 24VDC power when active. |
| Down | 12VDC Output | The relay will provide 12VDC power when active. |
IMPORTANT: Applying external voltage while the switch is set to
12VDC or 24VDC may damage the board.
Output Terminal Block
The onboard output uses a 4-terminal block.
Dry Contact Mode
Use NC/COM or NO/COM to connect downstream relay-driven devices.
Dry Contact mode is ideal for applications where a separate power source is used (for example, powering a maglock or triggering an auxiliary relay).
Voltage Output Mode
Use NO (+VDC) or NC (+VDC) and GND (-) for powered output.
12VDC and 24VDC modes are useful for directly powering low-current devices without requiring a separate power supply.
