Summary
Proper access to the internal wiring terminals of the NHP Controller is necessary for installation and maintenance. This article provides instructions for safely removing the controller’s cover without damaging the fastener or internal components.
Removing the Cover
The NHP enclosure is secured with a TR20 fastener. This fastener is designed to stay attached to the cover and should only be loosened not fully removed.
Once the Cover is removed, the inside of the controller cover features a quick-reference wiring schematic, allowing for easy access to terminal details during installation.
To remove the cover:
- Locate the bottom-mounted fastener.
The NHP has a single TR20 Torx-head screw on the bottom of the enclosure cover.
- Use a TR20 Torx driver to loosen the fastener until it protrudes slightly from the cover.
NOTE: Do not unthread completely, the fastener is captive and designed to remain
in place. - Gently lift the cover up and away from the controller housing once the screw is loosened.
- On the interior side of the cover, locate the printed wiring schematic.
-
Keep the cover within reach during wiring so the schematic can be quickly referenced without needing to consult a manual.
