Summary
To claim the NHP P Series Controllers into OnCAFE, the NHP Controller must be set to Cloud Mode and configured via the CloudConnector application. This article shows how to enroll the NHP Controller into OnCAFE via CloudConnector.
Installing the CloudConnector
To install the CloudConnector:
- Confirm that the NHP Controller is powered on.
- Log into the NHP Controller.
- Confirm that the NHP Settings are configured correctly.
- Navigate to the Open Platform tab.
- Click the three-dot menu (...) next to Software Upgrade.
Click Upload, then locate the appropriate CloudConnector.cap file.
NOTE: This file is provided by your system administrator or downloaded from the Hanwha Vision support portal.- Select the file, then click Install.
- Confirm the prompt when it appears to begin installation.
Confirming NHP Cloud Mode
To confirm that NHP is set to Cloud Mode:
Navigate to Host Communication.
Two communication modes display: Standalone and Cloud.Standalone - The controller operates independently using its internal platform for user management, scheduling, and event logging. Cloud - The controller communicates with the Hanwha Vision OnCAFE, enabling centralized management, remote access, and cloud-based automation.
- Select Cloud Mode.
A confirmation dialog box appears to reboot your machine.
- Click OK.
- After the reboot, log back into the controller.
- Return to Host Communication.
- Confirm that Cloud is now selected and active.
Launching the CloudConnector App
To launch the CloudConnector App:
- Select Open Platform > Open Platform.
The Cloud Connector App is visible on the controller's interface.
- Click Go to app to begin the Cloud registration process.
- Complete the following fields:
Organization Identifier - Unique ID linked to your Cloud tenant.
Organization Short Name - Friendly name used for association.
- Click Connect to Hanwha Vision Cloud.
The Device Status indicator at the top of the screen updates to show the controller is claimed and connected.
Troubleshooting
If the controller is not able to claim or download the CloudConnector:
- Ensure the controller’s network settings (IP address, subnet, gateway, and DNS) are configured correctly. Improper DNS is a common cause of connection failures.
- Confirm that the system time is accurate. An incorrect time or date can prevent successful communication with the OnCAFE Cloud.
- Confirm that both the Org ID and Short Name are entered exactly as provided. These values must match your OnCAFE tenant.
