This article details how to use OnCloud to change basic Cloud Gateway settings.
Using OnCloud to Change Cloud Gateway Settings
To use OnCloud to change the Cloud Gateway settings:
- Log in to OnCloud.
- Navigate to the organization dashboard and click Devices > Manage.
- Search for the Cloud Gateway.
- Click the Settings (
) icon to show a page with the following tabs: Device Information, Drive Management (CGR only), and Device Management.
- Click Device Information.
On this screen, you can rename the Cloud Gateway, update its firmware, and change its location and time zone. You can also review key parameters including network settings.
- Scroll down to see Storage Usage (CGR only), then click View Details to see how much space each camera is consuming.
The bar gauges reflect the relative amount of storage consumed by each channel. This can help when tweaking configurations to optimize retention time. Interestingly, in the example above, the 0.100 and 0.144 cameras are the same model. But one was previously attached to a CGA, destined for recording in the cloud, and so it's bitrate was accidentally unchanged at 600 kbps whereas the other was updated to 2.4 Mbps.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the Device Information page to use the Cloud Gateway as a proxy, where you can also connect directly to the device as if you were on the local network.
- Click the Drive Management tab (CGR only).
From this screen, you can review hard drive information, and reformat them.
- Click the Device Management tab.
From this screen, you can download log files, restart or factory reset the Cloud Gateway, reclaim it, or remove it from your organization. You can also configure the Cloud Gateway to automatically update its own firmware.
