Summary

This article explains how to update the firmware on a Cloud Gateway Recorder (CGR) using either an automatic or manual method.

Automatic Update via OnCloud

To automatically update your CGR’s firmware via OnCloud:

1. Log in to OnCloud.
    
2. Navigate to the organization dashboard and click Devices > Manage.
    
3. Click the Gear icon next to the CGR you wish to configure.
    
4. Click the Device Management tab.
    
5. In the CGR Firmware Update section, toggle Auto Update OnCloud Firmware to ON then configure an update schedule.
   
   
    

Manual Update

To manually update or downgrade your CGR firmware:

1. In a web browser, enter the IP address of your CGR (e.g. http://192.16.1.200).
    
2. Log in using your CGR credentials.
    
3. Click the Device Management tab.
    
4. Click Manual Firmware Upgrade/Downgrade.
   
   
    
5. Add your firmware file then click Update Firmware to immediately execute the change.
