Summary

This article lists the cameras that are compatible with a Cloud Gateway Recorder (CGR) or Cloud Gateway Appliance (CGA), for viewing and management in OnCloud.

Video Profiles

All CGR and CGA cameras must support specific video profiles to be compatible with OnCloud. It is important to ensure that the camera has capacity to deliver the profiles below as three simultaneous, independent unicast streams.

The CGR camera profiles are:

• OnCloud_REC_SQ - standard quality recording. This H.264 or H.265 stream is preset to 600 kbps, and its longevity is prioritized when a specific Edge recording retention time is specified.
  
  
• OnCloud_REC_HQ, high quality recording. This H.264 or H.265 stream is user configurable for Edge recording. For Cloud recording, it is automatically set based on the attached license.
  
  
• OnCloud_SNAP - MJPEG stream at 5 frames per second. This provides event snapshots within OnCloud.

The CGA profiles, which are used for Cloud recordings, are:

Cloud Gateway Camera Compatibility

Cloud Gateways make specific Hanwha Vision non Direct-to-Cloud (D2C) camera models compatible with OnCloud. Cloud Gateways also OnCloud-enable some third-party devices; however, it is recommended to fully test each model for compatibility due to variation.

Not all camera models are compatible. For example, D2C models must be connected to OnCloud directly, and not via a Cloud Gateway. Some other models are limited by the number of streaming profiles they can support, or other features that are required for successful operation with OnCloud.
