Summary
This article covers how to search for detected objects in the BLAZE Web Client, using either the side Objects panel view or the full-screen object search view.
Searching for Objects
The Objects panel allows you search for objects while continuing to watch a live camera.
To access the Objects panel:
- Log in to BLAZE Web Client.
If you have used the client before, it automatically returns you to the last camera you viewed.
- In the Device list, click the camera to view.
- Select the Objects icon on the top right corner of the page.
By default the most recent objects are detected and displayed. For cameras that do not support Object Search, no object data will be available.
Full-screen view provides the same filtering options with more room to review results.
To access the full-screen viewing (objects page), select the Objects icon on the left navigation panel.
A list of objects appears automatically, sorted by most recent.
To filter search results:
- Date range — By default, results show the last 12 hours. Remove this filter to set a custom start and end date and time.
- Region of interest — Draw an area on the camera view to search only within that region.
- Object type — Filter by Person, Vehicle, Face, or License Plate.
- Attributes — When the camera supports attribute detection, additional filters (such as person or vehicle attributes) are available.
- Camera selection — Searches run against all devices by default. Select one or more cameras to narrow the results.
NOTE: When filtering by a single date, click the date twice to activate
the OK button. The first click sets the start date, and the second sets
the end date. Shortcuts for Today, Yesterday, Last 7 Days, and Last 30 Days
are also available and do not require the second click.
Working with Search Results
- Click Refresh to view new results captured since the search was last run.
- Click Clear to remove all filters and return to the default result set.
- Open the new-tab button on a result to view that event in full playback in its own browser tab.
There is no fixed limit on the number of tabs you can open, though performance depends on your available bandwidth.
- Click Play/Pause and Loop on a result to review and event repeatedly.
