Issue Summary
This article lists some actions users can take when failover does not work as expected after configuration is completed.
Resolution
To resolve the issue of the failover not working:
- Check the connection status between clustered servers and ensure that all are online and can communicate with each other.
- Verify that the failover setting is enabled by going into the Desktop Client and navigating to Settings > Servers > Failover.
- Confirm that failover is enabled.
- Check the number of available channels for failover in the failover settings.
Verify that a sufficient number of channels are configured and available for failover operation.
NOTE: Can take shows how many channels the server can take over during
failover. If the Can take number is zero, the selected server can not take
over channels from the failed server.Confirm that required channels are not set to Disabled by clicking Failover priority, unless this is intentional.
NOTE: Channels that remain Disabled will not participate in failover.
