Summary
If a user is unable to authenticate the appliance due to a lost password, a full system reset and format must be performed. This article describes how to reset the system with a standard reset and a data protection method.
Resetting a BLAZE Recording Box System
There are two methods to reset the BLAZE Recording Box (BRB) system: the standard reset and the data protection exception method, which will prevent loss of recorded data.
Standard Reset
IMPORTANT: This process erases all recorded data. It is imperative to inform the
customer of this data loss before proceeding.
To perform a standard reset:
- Locate the reset button in the recess on the back of the appliance.
- Press and hold it for 10 seconds.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
Data Protection Exception
To perform a hardware reset without losing recorded data:
- Remove the HDD from the appliance before initiating the reset.
- Hold the reset button for 10 seconds.
Reinsert the HDD once the reset is complete.
Registering with the same camera previously registered enables playback of the same camera stored on the HDD.
