Applies to: BLAZE
Issue Summary
When upgrading, the BLAZE Client retains the previous version on your PC if the minor version differs. This feature ensures that the BLAZE Client version you are using matches the server version when using multiple server versions. However, there is an issue with accessing servers on a local network on macOS with multiple versions of the client maintained. This issue occurs because the macOS Local Network Privacy (LNP) system cannot distinguish between apps with the same Bundle ID or server permissions. This article describes the methods available to resolve this issue.
Resolution
To change this setting on a macOS:
- Select Apple menu > System Preferences.
- Click Privacy & Security in the sidebar.
- Select local network.
- Toggle the switch to view all versions of BLAZE in the list.
-
Exit and restart BLAZE Client to check whether the network is operating normally.
To change this on for macOS Sequoia:
There have been reports of issues with local network permissions for duplicate installed apps not working properly on the latest macOS versions.
The most reliable solution is to:
- Uninstall all versions of the problematic app.
- Restart your Mac.
-
Reinstall only the version needed.
NOTE: Restarting the firewall by selecting System Settings > Network > Firewall
may resolve the issue by refreshing the network path.
