Summary

This article provides instructions for turning on OnCloud Edge Recording.

Prerequisite

Add a camera before starting the steps in this article. For instructions, see OnCloud: How do I add a camera?

Enabling Edge Recording

To turn on Edge Recording:

1. In OnCloud, click Cameras in the top menu.
   
   
    
2. Click Cameras to see a list of all cameras, or select a camera in one of the available Layouts.
   
   
    

3. If selecting a camera from the Cameras list, click the three-dot menu at the far right, then click Camera Settings. 
   
   
    

   NOTE: If selecting a camera from a layout, hover the mouse on the camera, click 
   the three-dot menu, then click Camera Settings.
   

4. Click the Storage tab.
   
   
    
5. Turn the Enable Edge Recording toggle to ON.
   
   
   
   If the SD Card has never been used before, it will automatically format it and start recording.
   
   If the SD Card has been used before, an error will appear. Click the Reformat SD Card to delete all the data on the card and reformat it.
   
   The camera will start recording once the format is complete.
