Summary

This article provides instructions for configuring the RoadAI application and the WAVE NVR to create generic events, bookmarks, and event rules.

Configuring a RoadAI Camera for WAVE

To configure a RoadAI camera for WAVE:

1. Confirm the camera is compatible and running the Wisenet Road AI Open platform application with the latest firmware. 
   
   Wisenet Road AI app: v7.3200 or higher 
   
   WAVE: v6.0.3 or higher 
    
2. Check the camera's time and date, daylight savings, time zone, and NTP settings. 
   
   It is recommended that you sync the clock camera to the WAVE server when enabled.
    
3. Navigate to Camera Webpage > Setup > Open Platform > Go App.
    
4. In the Settings menu, define the WAVE parameters: 
   
   Enable WAVE integration. 
   
   Enter WAVE IP address, port, username and password.
   
   

Filtering and Viewing Generic Events

After the camera is registered with WAVE, LPR events and bookmarks are automatically created when the camera detects a license plate.

NOTE: The bookmark is very generic and only contains the license plate number.

To view a generic event with metadata:

1. Click the Events tab.
    

2. Select Any Event or Generic Event.
    
   

Creating an Event Rule

Event rules can be used to trigger actions such as creating bookmarks or sending emails. The same process can be used to create a bookmark.

To create an event rule with black or white lists:

1. Click LIST MANAGEMENT.
   
   
   
   The Black and White lists appears in the List settings section.
   
   
    

2. In the Black section, enter a plate number in the Plate number field, then click Add. You can also import a list of license plates from a CSV file by clicking the Import button.

   IMPORTANT: List the license plates in column 1 of the CSV file. 
   Plate numbers must contain 3-12 symbols, cannot have any duplicates,
   and are limited to 2,000 plate numbers per list.
   

3. Select No action from the Reaction 1 drop-down menu.
    
4. In the White section, enter a plate number in the Plate number field, then click Add. 
    
5. Select Open barrier from the Reaction 1 drop-down menu.
   
   To use Alarm Output (Open barrier), program the camera alarm output with an external relay, then create an event rule. 
    
6. To create an event rule, enter List then White or Black in the Description contains field (ex: List White). There should only be one rule for each event.
