Summary

The Profile menu allows users to preconfigure multiple device filter options, which are then automatically applied when selecting a profile in the Devices section. This feature significantly reduces setup time, especially when configuring projects with multiple camera types, as it eliminates the need to individually configure settings for each device. This article describes how to use the Profile menu. 

Searching Devices

To search devices:

1. Log into DesignPro. 
    

2. Select Profiles from the list, and click the drop-down menu to select the appropriate devices.
   
   
    

   NOTE: If you choose None, any subsequently selected cameras will inherit your 
   default profile. This is because every camera must have an associated profile, 
   providing it with critical information like recording schedules and duration, 
   installation heights, etc.

    

3. Select devices based on the selected Profile filter, which in this example is Exterior.

   The 27 camera models that meet the filter option in the profile are searched.
   
   

Modifying the Device Profile

When modifications to profile-configured filter options or FoV (Field of View) are needed, users can make these changes directly without navigating back to the Profiles menu.

To modify the device profile:

Adding a Device to a Bucket List

To add a device to a bucket list: 

1. Click the + icon to add it to your collection on the right.
   
   
   
   

   NOTE: You can change or select other profile in the bucket list. 

   
   

   NOTE: Even if you add the same camera, Bandwidth and estimated Storage capacity 
   change based on the settings of the selected profile.
