Applies to: OnCAFE, Microsoft Entra ID
Summary
Before Microsoft Entra can provision users and groups into OnCAFE, a non-gallery enterprise application must be created in Microsoft Entra ID. This application is used to configure SCIM provisioning with the Tenant URL and Secret Token provided by the OnCAFE Microsoft Entra integration.
This article explains how to create a non-gallery enterprise application in Microsoft Entra ID for OnCAFE provisioning.
Prerequisites
Before creating the application, confirm the following:
- You have access to the Microsoft Entra admin center.
- You have the required Microsoft Entra permissions to create enterprise applications.
- The Microsoft Entra integration has been enabled in OnCAFE.
- The OnCAFE Tenant URL and Integration Token are available.
Creating a Non-Gallery Enterprise Application
To create the application:
- Open the Microsoft Entra admin center.
The exact Microsoft Entra screens may vary depending on the customer's Entra configuration and application setup.
- From the left-side navigation menu, select Enterprise apps > All applications.
- Click New application.
- Enter a name for the application next to What’s the name of your app?
The application name can be customized based on the customer's naming standards.
Example: OnCAFE Tool
- Select the Integrate any other application you don't find in the gallery (Non-gallery) radio button.
-
Click Create.
This step only creates the enterprise application. Provisioning must still be configured separately.
The non-gallery enterprise application is created in Microsoft Entra ID. After the application is created, Users/Groups can be applied and provisioning can be configured using the SCIM details from the OnCAFE Microsoft Entra integration.
