Summary

From HealthPro v1.9, you can attach multiple licenses at once (bulk attach) or attach them individually in Settings > Devices > Cloud Portal or the License dashboard.

• Bulk attach New licenses (1-year / 2-year / 3-year / 30-day trial)
• Bulk attach Used licenses (1-year / 3-year / 5-year / 30-day trial)
• Attach licenses one device at a time when needed

The system automatically filters eligible devices and selects licenses within a type using built-in priority rules. 

This article describes how to bulk attach new and used licenses to devices. 

Bulk Attaching Licenses

To bulk attach licenses:

1. Sign in to Cloud Portal. 
    
2. Select HealthPro.
    
3. Navigate to Settings > Devices.
    
4. Open the Cloud Portal tab.
    

5. Click Bulk attach license.
    

   NOTE: If you select devices first, the Bulk attach button may be disabled 
   depending on eligibility and context.

License Types

Licenses are grouped by category when selecting for bulk attach.

New

• 1-year New
• 2-year New
• 3-year New
• 30-day Trial New

Trial New is hidden or disabled for devices that have ever used a formal (paid) license, including during bulk attach.

Used

• · 1-year Used
• · 3-year Used
• · 5-year Used
• · 30-day Trial Used

Trial Used is hidden or disabled for devices that have ever used a formal (paid) license, including during bulk attach.

Order ID is not used to group in the UI; grouping is only by the type categories above. The UI shows total remaining quantity per type.

Stacking

You can stack licenses via the individual license attachment buttons in the License Name column in the Settings > Devices > Cloud Portal or License dashboard.

New licenses (incl. Trial New)

• Support stacking up to 3 valid licenses per device.
• Devices already with 3 valid stacked New licenses are excluded from bulk attach targets.

Used licenses (incl. Trial Used)

• Attach only when a device has no current license or only expired licenses.
• Stacking not supported; only one valid Used license can be attached to a device.

How does HealthPro choose a specific license within a type?

New (including Trial New)

• Earlier issue date/time first (consume older issuance first).
• If same time, smaller bundle size (by Order ID group) first.

Used (including Trial Used)

• Shortest remaining period first (use licenses that expire sooner).
• Then earlier issue date/time.
• Then smaller bundle size for that Order ID
