Summary
After creating an extension from a PBX server, you can register the intercom with the extension number (User ID, Authentication ID), the password for the extension, and the IP address of the PBX server for the Program Recipient to call the extension and DTMF to trigger the relay.
Setting Up an Intercom
To set up an intercom:
- Log in to the intercom.
- Check Enable SIP under Call Setup.
- Check Enable by Allow incoming SIP calls to allow the operator to page out of the intercom.
- Click Add under Account for the PBX Extension registration.
- Type in the Name, User ID, Authentication ID, Password, and Domain Name (IP of your PBX server) from your PBX server.
- Click OK.
- Check the Use box next to the account created and click Apply.
- Click Add under Recipient to program the extension number of the phone from which the user wants to receive the call when the intercom button is pressed.
- Type in Name, SIP address in the format of sip:Extension # @ IP address of the phone. Set the type to Registrar.
- Click OK > Apply.
Programming DTMF
To trigger the relay to open the door, program DTMF. To program DTMF:
- Check Enable DTMF code reception under DTMF & Tampering switch.
- Define the digit (this triggers the delay when pressed from the receiving phone).
- Set the Alarm output 2(NO/NC port).
- Set the event activation time to Always unless you need the scheduled time set.
- Click Apply.
- On the Tampering switch tab under DTMF & Tampering switch, check Enable tampering switch.
- Set the parameters and click Apply.
