Co-termination eases license management by aligning everything to one renewal date. License co-termination joins all licenses within an organization with one single renewal date. Instead of managing multiple expiration dates, licenses are aligned into a single, easy-to-manage renewal cycle.  All licenses are aligned to one renewal date, with the system automatically recalculating your renewal date.

This article details the advantages and features of license co-termination.

Adding New Licenses

Every time new licenses are added, the system automatically updates your renewal date based on:

• Your existing licenses
• The value of new licenses
• Your current system size

This ensures all licenses stay aligned under one renewal date. 

When uploading licenses:

1. Select how the license is applied. 

   Expansion

   • Adds more capacity (e.g., more cameras or doors)
   • May slightly adjust your renewal date

   Extension
    

   • Extends your renewal date
   • Does not increase capacity
     
     The updated renewal date appears.
      
2.  Confirm the renewal date. 
   
   Licenses activate immediately.
