Applies to: Okta
Summary
Once you complete the Okta integration, Cloud Portal automatically directs users to the appropriate login path based on their email address. The system identifies the email and routes users to their organization’s Okta authentication system. This article provides instructions to log in and manage your profile.
Logging in to Okta
To log in to Okta:
- On the Cloud Portal login screen, enter your email address and click Continue.
- Select the login method.
The system detects your account types and provides the following paths:
If only an Okta account exists - You are redirected immediately to your organization's Okta login page.
If both Hanwha Vision and Okta accounts exist - You must choose the appropriate method based on the organization you wish to access (Okta or Hanwha Vision).
Okta (SSO) - Select this to access organizations integrated with Okta. Your standard Hanwha Vision password will not work here.
Hanwha Vision - Select this to access other organizations that are not linked to Okta using your existing password.
- On the Okta sign in page, enter your corporate credentials. Upon successful authentication, you will be automatically directed to the organization tied to your Okta account.
Managing Your Profile
Password and 2FA:
-
Passwords - The Change Password menu is hidden in Cloud Portal for Okta accounts. Credentials must be managed via the Okta console.
- 2FA - Your 2FA requirements are governed strictly by your company's Okta tenant settings. Cloud Portal's organization-level 2FA settings will not apply.
Profile Editing:
-
Option 1 (Auth (SSO) only) - You can manually edit all profile fields within Cloud Portal.
-
Option 2 (Auth & Provisioning) - Core attributes (First Name, Last Name, and Phone number) are mastered by Okta and are Read-only in Cloud Portal.
- Personal Preferences - Language setting can still be modified manually in Cloud Portal.
