Summary
By default, Hanwha Vision Cloud logs the user out if they are inactive for 30 minutes to protect the account security. To keep the session active longer (e.g., for continuous live video streaming), you can extend your session timeout limit up to 48 hours.
This article provides instructions to adjust your session timeout settings and explains the security implications of adjusting timeout.
Adjusting Session Timeout
IMPORTANT: Increasing your session timeout extends the time your account remains
logged in on an unattended device, which carries significant security and privacy
risks. We strongly recommend keeping the default value of 30 minutes unless strictly
necessary.
To change your session timeout duration:
- Log in to Cloud Portal.
-
Click the Profile icon at the top right of the screen, then select Account Settings.
- Locate the Session Timeout control option.
- Click the drop-down menu and select your preferred session duration (30 minutes to 48 hours).
- Click Apply.
-
Click Save to confirm and apply the changes.
NOTE: If you are increasing the duration above 30 minutes, a warning dialog
will appear.
