This article describes how to add a camera to Milestone.

Adding a Camera

To add a camera to Milestone:

1. Open the Milestone Management Client. 
   
    

2. Using the Milestone Add Hardware Wizard, select Address range scanning.

   NOTE: Alternatively, use the Manual mode for a single IP or the 
   Express Mode to autoscan the network.

   
   
    

3. Confirm your Hanwha username and password are added.
   
   
    
4. Confirm Hanwha is selected in the Driver selection.
   
   
    
5. Select the IP Range and HTTPS, if being used.
   
   
    
6. Confirm that metadata is enabled for all cameras.
   
   
7. Select Input/Output, Speaker/Mic as needed.
    
8. Add device types to groups.
   
   
   
   This is crucial if using rules or alarms for groups of cameras.
    
9. Click Finish.
