Summary

This article describes the process of extension creation in FreePBX Version 16 for the registration of the intercom.

Configuring Sangoma FreePBX

To configure Sangoma FreePBX:

1. Log in into FreePBX Management Console using an Administrator account.
    
2. Select Applications > Extensions.
   
   
    
3. Click Add Extension > Add New SIP (chan_pjsip) Extension.
   
   
    

4. Enter the information to create an extension.
   
   Assign an extension number 

   Display Name of your choice

   Outbound CID of your choice

   Emergency CID of your choice

   Secret ID (Recommend not to use the auto-generated for our intercom has the limitation with the number of Characters and unsupported special characters as the password)

   
   
    

5. Click Submit.
    
6. Click Apply Config.
   
   
    

7. For the intercom setting, see How to Set up an Intercom with a PBX Server.
    

8. For the video call, click Asterisk SIP Settings under the Settings.
   
   
    

9. Under General SIP Settings, scroll to Video Codec.
   
   
    

10. Click Enabled by Video Support and confirm that h.264 is checked under the Video Codecs.
