Summary

Wisenet Device Manager requires administrator privileges to create and write files used during normal operation and certificate management. Without the necessary permissions, some Device Manager functions may not operate correctly or may encounter file creation and write errors.

This article explains how to run Wisenet Device Manager with administrator privileges.

NOTE: The administrator permission requirement cannot currently be removed
because file creation and write access are required for normal Device Manager
operation and certificate management.

Running Device Manager as an Administrator

To run Device Manager as an administrator:

1. Right-click the Wisenet Device Manager shortcut.
    
2. Select Run as administrator.
    
3. Approve the Windows permission request.
    

To configure Device Manager to always run with administrator privileges:

1. Right-click the Wisenet Device Manager shortcut and select Properties.
    
2. Open the Compatibility tab.
    
3. Select Run this program as an administrator.
    
4. Click Apply, and then click OK.
