Issue Summary
A storage location is reported as inaccessible. However, when checking the available drives on the Windows operating system, the reported drive does not exist.
This article explains how to move analytics and motion data from the inaccessible drive and remove the ghost drive from WAVE.
Resolution
To resolve the issue:
- Verify the drive is not physically installed in the unit.
- Open WAVE Desktop Client.
- Right-click the server and select Server Settings.
- Click Storage Management.
- Locate the inaccessible drive.
- If the inaccessible drive is configured to store analytics and motion data:
a. Hover over another available drive until the same storage assignment text appears.
b. Click the alternate drive to move the analytics and motion data location.
c. Wait for the transfer to complete.
d. When prompted, select whether to keep or delete the existing data. For new installations, deleting data may be appropriate.
- After the storage location has been moved, right-click the inaccessible drive and select Delete.
- Click Apply.
