Summary
You can use a layout to see up to 12 cameras at once. This article explains how to use a layout.
Prerequisite
Before starting the steps in this article, create a layout. For instructions on how to create and customize layouts, see OnCloud: How do I create and manage layouts?
Using Basic Controls
To use basic controls:
- Log in to Cloud Portal.
- Navigate to OnCloud.
-
Click on the Cameras icon.
-
Under My Layouts, click the Disclosure button (>) to expand the list of layouts.
-
Click the name of a layout to open it.
- To pause the video for all cameras, click Pause (
). Click it again to resume playback.
- Click and drag the timeline to move forward and backward in time.
This updates the video for all cameras at once, allowing you to review an incident from multiple angles.
- To view video in full screen, click the Expand icon (
).
- To exit the full screen, click the Contract icon (
).
-
Click Go Live to show live video for all cameras.
NOTE: The vertical hash lines on the timeline represent events, such as a
person or vehicle moving.
Synchronizing Cameras
If a camera in your layout falls behind (is out of sync), click Synchronizing Cameras to reset all cameras to the same time.
The availability of the Synchronize Now button indicates that a camera is out of sync. If the cameras are all in sync, the Synchronize Cameras button is unavailable.
NOTE: If synchronization fails, there may be an issue with the connection between
the viewer and the camera, such as network congestion or failure.
Selecting Dates and Times
To select dates and times:
- Click the Calendar icon (
) above the timeline to show video for a certain date and time.
- Select a date and time, or click Today, and then click OK.
- To change the scale of the timeline, click the Mins button to select minutes, seconds, or days.
Saving Images
To save images from all cameras, click the Camera icon (). An image from each camera will be downloaded individually.

To view a single camera:
- Hover your mouse over a video feed to see the name, location, area, and local time for a camera.
- Double-click a video feed to open the details for a camera.
