Applies to: All Hanwha Vision NVR Models, Wisenet Viewer, Web Viewer, and Mobile Viewer
Issue Summary
The Number of Users with Playback Permissions Exceeded appears when the number of remote playback sessions reaches the NVR’s supported limit. Users may also receive the Media Session Disconnected message or be unable to access playback while live view remains available.
Each remote playback connection consumes NVR playback resources, regardless of whether the connection is through Wisenet Viewer, Web Viewer, Mobile Viewer, or another supported remote client. Inactive sessions left open in the background may also consume playback resources and prevent additional users from accessing playback.
IMPORTANT: The maximum number of remote users varies by NVR model.Resolution
To restore playback access:
- Identify the NVR model.
- Open the Hanwha Vision Website.
- Navigate to Products > Recorder & Server > NVR.
- Open the product page for the recorder model.
- Click Specifications > Network and review Max Remote Users.
- Check for playback sessions from Wisenet Viewer, Web Viewer, Mobile Viewer, and other supported remote clients.
- Compare the number of playback sessions against the NVR's Max Remote Users specification.
- If the maximum number of playback connections has been reached, disconnect the one of the existing playback connections.
-
Retry playback access.
IMPORTANT: Inactive sessions left open in the background may
continue consuming playback resources and prevent additional users
from accessing playback.
