Summary
Wavelynx Readers have firmware that may need to be updated from time to time in order to function properly. This article outlines the process for performing updates using the Wavelynx Configure app via mobile iPhone device.
Prerequisites
Before updating the NOD reader:
- Ensure you have internet access prior to going onsite.
- Install the Wavelynx Configure app from Apple Store.
Contact Hanwha Technical Support for the latest tokens.
NOTE: The token will change as future updates are released.
At the time of this article, the current firmware version is 5.4.1.
The following table includes the Token IDs needed for BLE and NFC (Wallet)
credential profiles as well as the firmware.

Updating Using iPhone
To update the firmware or profile using iPhone:
- Open the Wavelynx Configure app.
- Click Apply Profile and Cards.
- Click TAP.
- Click the Plus (+) sign and enter the Profile token then click Submit.
The profile downloads.
- Return to the main menu of the Configure app and click Apply Profile and Cards.
- Power cycle the reader.
- Within 60 seconds, while touching the reader with your device, click TAP.
The reader LED changes color when connected.
- On the Cards tab, select the token to perform the firmware upgrade or profile update.
Click TAP to upload the profile.
IMPORTANT: Keep the phone in contact with or very close to the reader
throughout the update to avoid interrupting the connection. Losing the
connection may cause the update to fail and, in some cases, corrupt the
reader firmware. The update may take 3–5 minutes.Once the update is finished, the reader reboots at least once and returns to its normal LED operation.
- From the main menu of the Configure app, click View Reader Details.
- While mobile device is touching the reader, click Tap.
The reader LED changes color when connected.
- Confirm the Firmware Version.
