Painting Options for Hanwha Cameras
Hanwha Custom Painting Service
- Hanwha offers a custom painting service for cameras that require non-standard colored cases. The standard custom color is Black Matte.
- A minimum quantity of 25 cameras is required (mix of models is allowed).
- Accessories can also be painted with a minimum order of 25 cameras.
- Lead time for custom-painted cameras in the standard color is five weeks.
- Standard colors are based on the RAL color chart.
NOTE: Custom color matching service allows a customer to provide the technical
data sheet or a painted chip to match, but this service has an additional lead
time and cost. Contact Customer Service for more information. Custom-painted items can not be returned.
Re-painting Guidelines
- Refer to the attached documents as guidelines on disassembling the camera, protecting necessary components, and painting and reassembling the camera.
- For metal surfaces, paint with primer first for better paint adhesion.
- A white primer is recommended if your new paint color is brighter than the current color.
- Apply two coats of paint, ensuring the first coat is fully dry before applying the second.
- Gore valves should not be painted and care should be used to cover them during the painting process.
- Product logos may be covered during the painting process.
- The serial number label should be carefully removed or covered during painting and then reapplied, ensuring that the correct serial numbers are reapplied to the same units.
IMPORTANT: Do not disassemble the camera without reviewing the attached instructions.
Failure to follow these guidelines could damage the camera’s waterproofing and void
its warranty. Hanwha Vision is not responsible for issues resulting from improper
repainting.Cameras with Skin Covers
An easier alternative to repainting the entire camera is using skin covers. These covers allow you to change the camera's exterior color quickly and can be easily repainted without disassembling the camera and protecting internal components.
Warranty Support
Hanwha will honor warranty claims for repainted items if they adhere to the guidelines in the attached documents and are not damaged due to improper painting.
Custom-painted cameras are not eligible for Advance Replacements, but repair services are available. In some cases, Hanwha may reuse existing painted parts, but new components will be provided in the standard factory color.
- If a camera needs to be replaced, a standard factory color unit will be provided without recourse.
