Summary

The SolidEDGE camera can have its firmware upgraded or factory defaulted and retain the WAVE VMS and the recorded video storage.  This article explains factory defaulting a SolidEDGE camera. 

Factory Defaulting a SolidEDGE Camera

There is no need to initialize the drive, which would remove the recorded video and the WAVE VMS installation.

The WAVE license is also retained during a factory default and a firmware upgrade.

Note that when the camera is factory defaulted, the WAVE service will be stopped. 

Please start the service again in the Events > Storage menu.
