Summary

Certain fields in our hardware have maximum character limits. When setting fields, such as the password field, note that it is masked and will not visually indicate when the character limit has been reached. This article provides instructions for setting up the admin password and understanding character limits.

Setting Up the Admin Password

To set up the admin password:

1. Open your browser.
    
2. Enter the IP of your new/factory defaulted camera and press Enter.
    

3. Enter the new password for the admin account.

   NOTE: When you access the product for the first time, you must register a 
   password for the admin account.
   
    - For a new password with 8 to 9 digits, you must use at least 3 of the
      following: uppercase/lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters
   
    - For a password with 10 to 15 digits, you must use at least 2 types of 
      those mentioned
   
    - Special characters are allowed. : ~`!@#$%^*()_-+=|{}[].?/
   
    - For higher security, it is not recommended to repeat the same characters
      or consecutive keyboard inputs for your passwords
   
    - Admin and User Passwords are 8 to 15 Characters with conditions 
   

4. Click Apply.
    

   The camera will force you to log in with the new credentials.

    - Product Information 8 characters
   
    - Settings 8 characters
   
    - Device Name 8 characters 
   
    - Location 32 characters 
   
    - Description 32 characters 
   
    - Memo 32 characters
