Issue Summary

An ANPR camera can recognize vehicle license plate numbers. However, due to the limitations of the installation environment, the camera can sometimes only recognize the rear of each vehicle exiting an area, or have a very low recognition rate of license plates.

Because the screen was enlarged, a vehicle was not recognized as a vehicle even if it entered the region of interest (ROI) area; therefore, the license plate recognition scenario did not work.

Resolution

To ensure license plate recognition:

1. Adjust the camera angle.
   
   
2. Zoom out the screen.
   
   
3. Reset the ROI area to recognize the entire vehicle.
   
   
   
   
4. If possible, install the camera to capture the front of each vehicle. 
   
   

   NOTE: The rear license plates of some vehicles are located further inside the 
   vehicle body. In that case, the license plate recognition rate may be reduced 
   when shadows are cast by sunlight during the day.
