This article explains how to change a camera IP address or resolve an IP conflict on cameras connected to an NVR.
Changing a Camera's IP
To change a camera's IP or resolve an IP conflict:
- Go to Setup > Camera > Register.
Click Auto Detect.
The recorder will search the Network 1 adapter only for any Hanwha Wisenet Cameras.
IMPORTANT: This tool may detect third-party cameras. Do not use it to add them.
It supports only the Wisenet protocol. To add third-party devices, use the ONVIF
protocol and click the Manual button to register them.- Check the box next to the cameras to change the IP, then click Change IP.
- Select the Use the Following IP Address radio button.
- Enter the appropriate IP address information.
When changing multiple device IPs, enter only the starting IP address. The system will assign the remaining IP addresses sequentially from that starting address.
- Enter the ID of admin and the password for this account.
If the camera in question is in a default state, use 4321 as the password.
- Click Apply.
If the credentials are correct, the system will successfully assign the IP address. You can then register your cameras.
