Once you have installed a camera, focus the device for the field of view at which it has been pointed. This article details how to focus a Hanwha camera with motorized varifocal capabilities.
Focusing the Camera
- Log in to the camera.
Select Settings > Video & Audio > Focus setup > Initialize focus.
A focus initialization should be performed once after the camera has been installed.
NOTE: Focus initialize always pulls the camera back to its widest field of view.- Zoom the image using the controls on the screen.
Once you have zoomed the image, select Simple Focus.
NOTE: You may also draw a region of interest on the video to indicate where
the camera should perform the focus operation on, and then click Simple Focus.
This is useful for scenes where there are varying depths of fields, such as
obstructions from columns, signs, etc. The region is not stored and will only
be used one time.
