Issue Summary

The camera auto discover in WRN-816S/1632S/1632 is not functioning. This article explains how to repair the auto discover function.

Resolution

The UFW firewall is not allowing this to work. To get auto discover to work:

1. Open the Terminal application by clicking Terminal icon on the desktop or application menu or right-clicking on the desktop and selecting Open Terminal. 
   
   
   
   
    

2. In Terminal, run the following command:
   
   sudo systemctl stop ufw
    

   NOTE: If prompted for a password, enter the Ubuntu/Linux user password.

3. Once the UFW firewall has been stopped, verify that the cameras can now be discovered through Auto-Discovery.
   
   
    

4. After all cameras have been successfully discovered, re-enable the firewall by running the following command:

   sudo systemctl start ufw
   
   
    

   NOTE: If the UFW firewall must remain disabled, run:  sudo systemctl disable ufw
