In an effort to maintain standards, Hanwha uses the web UI for all knowledge base 
articles pertaining to product configuration. Open Chrome, enter the IP Address 
of your device into the URL bar, and click Enter. If you are not using the web UI 
to configure your device, please refer to the user manual for your product.

Summary

If an event happens in WAVE, the system will perform an action to open the Layout of your choosing. This article provides instructions for setting up the rule in WAVE.

Setting up a Layout to Open on Event

To set up a layout to open on Event:

1. Open the WAVE Desktop Client.
    
2. Right-click the camera.
    
3. Select Camera Rules to open the Event Rules dialog.
    
4. Under the Event section, select your target System Event (e.g. Motion, Soft Trigger, etc).
    
5. In the Action section, select Open Layout from the Do drop-down menu.
    
6. In the Interval of Action field, configure how often the rule should for run when triggered.
    
7. In the to section, select the roles/users the notification should appear for.
    
8. To make sure the Alarm Layout opens for targeted operators, check the Force Alarm Layout opening checkbox.
    
9. Press Apply and Ok to save the rule.
