Adding an RTSP URL

1. Open WAVE.
   
   
2. Log into WAVE with an administrator-level account.
   
   
3. Right-click on the server in the WAVE system tree.
   
   
4. Select Add Device.
   
   
   
   
5. Enter the properly formatted RTSP URL for the make and model device to register.
   
   
   
   
6. Provide the admin credentials for that device.
   
   
7. Click Search.
   
   
8. Check the boxes next to all of the channels and devices to add.
   
   
   
   
9. Click Add All Devices.

Creating a Secondary Stream

If the camera is 720p or below enable motion on the primary stream, create a secondary stream.

1. Right click on the camera and select Camera Settings.
   
   
   
   
2. Click the Motion tab to ensure the dropdown shows the Primary Stream.
   
   

If the camera is higher resolution then another stream must be used. Refer to the specific camera documentation for instructions to create the stream. The resolution must be under 720p, 7fps, and be the same aspect ratio of the primary stream. For example, if the camera is a 4:3 aspect ratio, the secondary stream needs to be the same aspect ratio.

1. Right click on the camera and select Camera Settings.
   
   
2. Click Edit Streams and enter the RTSP URL for the secondary stream.
   
   
   
   
3. Click OK.
