All Hanwha recorders ship with a motion and continuous recording schedule assigned out of the box. This article describes how to enable motion detection.
Enabling Motion Detection
To enable motion detection:
- Log in to your camera.
Navigate to Setup > Event > Event Setup > Motion Detection and IVA.
NOTE: When setting up the Motion Area for cameras in this interface, the process is always one channel at a time.Confirm that the MD checkbox is selected next to Use Check.
NOTE: You will not be modifying all of the settings in the Motion Detection
setup area; only change the selections listed below. Leave all others at their
default settings. If you have mounted your camera at a higher than recommended height for camera mounting, adjust the Object Size settings. The green min box should be made smaller than a human in the field of view, and the red max setting should be the entire field of view.
Select Detection Area as the Event Zone type.
NOTE: Most camera models have settings for Sensitivity and Level of Detection.
The higher the sensitivity is, the faster it reacts to pixel changes on the
Field of View.Click on the blue rectangle box to draw your Detection Area onto the Camera View, left click and drag from the top right to the bottom left.
This will draw a blue area onto the field of view and increment the "DA" Detection Area counter to 1.
- Click OK.
- Repeat steps 1-7 for every camera you wish to enable Event Recording on.
- Select Record > Record Schedule.
- Click on Event or Event/Continuous.
- Click on All in the top left corner of the schedule grid.
- Click OK.
- Click Apply to Other Channels.
Check All Channels.
Click OK, twice.
Navigate to Event>Event Rule Setup.
- In the Enable column, click on the drop-down for Motion rule and select On.
